The key here is not just to come up with solutions, but to be innovative in the design of your solution (see definition above). Why is innovation an important aspect of solution to problems today?
Blog Prompt #18 - Present and Future
Lately your work at NWP has been razor focused on the present and future benchmarks. You read current articles on your topic, presented them to your group members, and discussed them in a video summary. You plotted key moments from your research on a “Past to Present Map”, and then summed up your take-aways in a series of paragraphs that described the past, the present, and the key agents of change. You defined your groups key “Problem” and engaged in the 5 Whys activity to determine potential root causes for this problem. Finally, you got to brainstorm innovative solutions to address your problem, based on these root causes. Choose one part of either the present or the future benchmark to discuss. Explain it. Provide a view of your experience. Was the activity effective? Difficult? Could the teachers have designed it in a way that would better suit your needs? Let teachers know how this experience was for you.

Think about your life outside of school. What activities do you spend a generous amount of your time and energy doing? What do these efforts contribute to your life? Do they change the way you feel or act? Do these efforts contribute to anyone else's life besides your own? Explain. Compare and contrast your approach to this activity with your approach to your IT project work. What do you make of the difference? Be specific.
Blog Prompt #12 Shifting Gears
Your IT teachers decided to change the way things work these past couple of weeks. What is different? Does it feel more effective or less effective to you? Explain. Why do you believe the teachers made this change? In other words, why has it been necessary for the IT teachers to delegate tasks to individuals? What has prevented you (or your group members) from doing this independent of your teachers’ guidance?
Blog Prompt #11 Looking Back at Notecard Research
Look back on your recently completed Notecard Research. What aspects of this process helped you to develop a deeper understanding of your area of focus? What methods do you use? What resources can you turn to? How do get assistance when you're stuck? What changes can you make to help your group stay organized? We often have many tasks going on at one time. How do you delegate tasks? How successful have you been at this? What can you do to improve your group's organization and task delegation?
Blog Prompt #8 Reflection on B4
B4 is over. How did you do? How do you feel about the body of research your group has amassed for the PAST portion of the project? Is it substantial enough to inform the creation of your Experiential Piece? Do you feel like you missed any critical areas of study? What did you discover about your levels of motivation and discipline? What are some of your big take-aways from this experience? What would/will you do differently next time?

Compare and contrast your experience with that of a typical school goer. Include specific examples.
