Northwest Prep is a tuition-free public charter school
Northwest Prep is a tuition-free public charter school. We offer a 7th-12th Grade On-site Project-Based Learning Program and a K-12th Grade Homestudy Program. Our school is committed to providing high-quality education to all of our students. We achieve our goals through a challenging and meaningful curriculum, maintaining high quality teachers and staff, and creating an atmosphere that emphasizes community, communication, and cooperation. Together, these elements support a safe and engaging learning environment in which all students can excel.

Congratulations to all that helped make our Fall 2024 Academic Exhibition such a huge success. Seeing our students bring such important information, tools, and ideas regarding persuasion, the CA propositions, and the coming elections to our greater community is truly a testament to our program and the hard work students put into their projects. We feel confident that our students helped educate their audience and helped them prepare for their civic duties. Attached below is the full video of the introduction and all campaign ads and suffrage documentaries presented at the exhibition. 20204 Fall Academic Exhibition Link Exhibition Social Media Video link Northwest Prep Charter School receives the 2022 California Pivotal Practice AwardThe California Department of Education (CDE) and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced the recipients of the CDE’s new 2022 California Pivotal Practice (CAPP) Award Program. This year, CAPP replaced the California Distinguished School Program to celebrate schools and districts that implemented innovative practice during the pandemic.
It is our great honor to announce that our District along with ALL 5 of our schools are recipients of the 2022 California Pivotal Practice Award! We are extremely proud of our staff who worked tirelessly and modeled an innovative spirit in providing our students the best learning experiences possible in the context of a pandemic. Indeed, the CDE considers POUSD staff the "best of the best". |
