HOW DOES PERSUASION GARNER POWER?
(HDPGP PROJECT) FALL 2020
Overview:  The goal of this project is for students to select and explore elements of suffrage as well as selected propositions on the CA 2020 ballot.  Students will also explore the power of persuasion and develop a persuasion handbook highlighting persuasion techniques such as logical fallacies. Students will collaborate as they research and learn about all elements of this project. They will then use their research to develop videos about suffrage movements and campaign ads for the selected propositions utilizing the learned persuasion techniques.   Students will also present a breakdown of the persuasion techniques applied in order to inform the audience. The videos, campaign ads, and student presentations will be the backbone of our fall virtual academic exhibition on October 29, 2020 at 6pm.
